Walk with Path Insoles

What will my real time pressure data look like?

Once you have clicked ‘My Data in Real Time’ under ‘Pressure Distribution’ you will see two feet displaying the real time pressure of the bottom of your feet. The Walk with Path insoles will provide a live pressure measurement ranging from the peaks (highs) of foot pressure in red-orange, medium pressure in yellow-green, down to the troughs (lows) in light blue-dark blue.

What do the alerts look like?

You will receive a notification from the Path Active App if your foot pressure has been at a constant high level (0.27 bar) for 15 minutes (level 1 alert). You will then receive another notification if this high pressure is maintained for 30 minutes (level 2) and again at 1 hour (level 3).

What do I do if I notice constant high pressure?

Walk with Path advise the following: Level 1 Alert (15 minutes) - visually inspect the area of your foot for any potential issues. Level 2 Alert (30 minutes) - visually inspect the area of your foot again. Contact your clinician if any issues (i.e. A break in the skin) are identified. Level 3 Alert (1 hour) - visually inspect the area of the foot again. Potential pre-ulcerative state, contact your clinician if any issues (i.e. A break in the skin) are identified. There will naturally be areas of higher pressure under your foot. If you notice continuous high pressure in an area over a period time and start to receive alerts, we advise you to take the weight off your feet (put your feet up for two minutes or more). Please see the ‘what to do’ guidance leaflet for more information.

What other data is collected by the app?

Along with foot pressure, the Path Active app will record the following: Foot temperature Time spent sitting, standing and walking (you will see this in your weekly report).
